Throughout my career, I have been a strength coach, personal trainer and track, and field coach, a member of the United State National Track and Field team. In fact, I have been to roughly 23 National Championships in 3 different sports. You get the idea; I have been a very active person.
Then a funny thing happened…I turned 50.

I woke up one day and simply could not do the things I had done before physically. My body fat was increasing and my muscle mass was decreasing. I made a conscious decision to fight this inevitable process.
This is when I created the Boomer Blueprint. Based upon my own experiences and observations, I realized many people simply needed a step by step path towards fitness after fifty. While I am a professional in the industry and can create my own programs, most people are not and very much need guidance with this.
I also noticed that the majority of programs available on DVD were NOT appropriate for the 50+ crowd. Most commercially available programs are targeted towards 20-30-year-olds and could cause serious injury or worse for older individuals.
As an adjunct professor in University of Massachusetts system for several years I was driven to pull together a science-based testing process designed to demonstrate to you exactly what you should be able to do as compared to others your age.
In short, here is how the system works:
Learn how to complete the initial test by viewing the DVDs, compile your score, complete the custom workouts and retest yourself.
What kinds of tests are involved?
Testing covers the following: cardio-vascular health, flexibility, core strength, balance, upper body strength, lower body endurance, heart rate variation, torso measurements, general functional strength and more.
All of the tests are scored on a 10-Point system. Therefore, once you complete them all, you will receive a total score out of 100 possible points. This is the called the Boomer Decathlon. Decathlon is the heart of the Boomer Blueprint This overall score will allow you to compare yourself to peers your age and gender.
The “Baby Boomer” generation is roughly 77 million strong.
I started the Boomer Blueprint to be a resource for people out there looking to retain the youthful look, feel and general mentality to life or maybe to simply find a starting point for doing so
Along with physical re-development, we will look at nutrition, the “mind-body” connection, our changing physiology and more. You will hear from experts in the each of these areas.
